A Chiropractic Assistant is a medical assistant who works under the direction of a chiropractor, and performs a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to ensure a chiropractic area runs smoothly and supports the patient experience. A UHC Medical Assistant (MA) shows genuine warmth with patients and has the ability to make them feel comfortable in the health center while providing effective and technically competent nursing assistance to both patients and UHC providers. The MA assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Primary tasks are to interview patients, measure vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and record information on patients' charts (paper or electronic). MA may be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Finally, the MA prepares treatment rooms and exam rooms for examination of patients. The Medical Assistant position provides or facilitates the provision of information needed by both patients and clinicians. Furthermore, they ensure a smooth and well-connected patient flow. Under the direction of the Health Center Manager, individual will direct, supervise, and coordinate staff and day-to-day operations for assigned center to provide outstanding customer service, quality and cost effective care. Expected to manage the daily operations of both the Front Office and Medical Records areas of the health center. Responds to issues as appropriate (i.e., scheduling errors, patient flow bottlenecks, patient concerns, employee relations issues, etc.) and forwards information to appropriate supervisor and to Health Center Manager as needed for formal follow-up. Consistently conducts operations and decision-making base on using UHC policies and procedures. Approaches work in a consistent and timely manner and as directed by the Health Center Manager.
This position is responsible for the efficient and effective pre-registration of scheduled appointments. Confirms patient appointments per established protocols. Secures patient demographics information for charting, billing and record keeping purposes. Ensures that billing information is obtained in order to pre-register patients. Screens and evaluates processes necessary to determine a patient's eligibility for third party coverage. Additionally, is an expert in UHC's Sliding Fee and has knowledge of UHC's covered services, billing, and reimbursement procedures. Representative must be able to identify any schedule conflicts and take appropriate action to ensure smooth patient flows and the highest level of resource utilization possible. Answer incoming telephone calls from patients regarding their appointments. Deliver excellent customer service and communication.

The Senior Staff Accountant performs various aspects of accounting within the Finance Department. Responsible for maintaining general ledger accounts, administering and processing Accounts Payable, preparing journal entries and posting to the General Ledger, cash accounting including receipts reconciliation, and producing various accounting and financial reports for the executive team, Board, and team. The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for creating and analysis of reports relating to financial viability and or levels of activity for specified areas or functions. Provide information to internal and external sources regarding clinical operations, productivity, and other services. This position reports directly to the Controller.

Work Hours: Monday through Friday: 12:00 Noon - 9:00pm
Saturday and Sunday: 9:00am - 5:30pm
The UHC Optometry Optical Technician (OT) shows genuine warmth with patients and has the ability to make them feel comfortable in the health center while providing effective and technically competent ophthalmic assistance to both patients and UHC optometrists. The optometry OT is also responsible for helping assist patients in the optical area with the fitting, ordering and dispensing of eyeglasses or contact lenses as directed by the optometrist. The OT must be able to read the patient's prescription and educate patients on proper lens and frame choices. The OT must be able to explain insurance benefits and coverage of vision supplies to the patient or call insurances for necessary authorizations. The OT will maintain optical boards by making sure that glasses are restocked and accounted for in the OPTIK electronic program as well as cleaned on a regular basis. The OT will be responsible for maintaining, organizing and reconciling optical inventory. The OT position provides or facilitates the provision of information needed by both patients and clinicians in the optical area. Furthermore, they ensure a smooth and well-connected patient flow after patient has received eye exam and must receive vision supplies to fully correct vision. The OT reports to the lead optician and optometry director.
