  • Overview

    Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Grants Management and Compliance (DGMC) is responsible for overall HRSA grant compliance.  This includes grant applications and HRSA reviews.  The DGMC oversees all grant activities including application, monitoring, and reports.  This includes working very closely with the CEO and the Executive Leadership Team to fulfill all grant expectations.  This position monitors all grant awards (NGA), PINs, and PALs.  The DGMC also oversees the HRSA Electronic Handbook (EHB).

    Responsibilities

    Works closely with the Chief Executive Officer and other members of the Executive Team to:

    • Oversee the preparation of the annual HRSA grant application.
    • Prepare documents and oversee all 19 compliance requirements from the HRSA compliance manual.
    • Work with various leadership staff to ensure all compliance expectations are met (93 requirements/expectations).
    • Work with the Board to prepare for the HRSA site reviews.
    • Maintain pass codes and oversight of EHB content for the organization.
    • Write policies and procedures for HRSA program expectations.
    • Oversee all grant applications, implementations, compliance, and reporting requirements.
    • Maintain grant files.
    • Monitor compliance with award requirements.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION:

     

    • Bachelor degree in Political Science or Business Administration required

    LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

     

    • Possess a valid CA driver’s license

    PRIOR EXPERIENCE:

     

    • Two (2) years of grant writing experience or similar work required
    • Two (2) years of administrative experience required
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) required
    • Knowledge of health care administration practices, organization policies, procedures, and systems

    SKILLS:

    • Must have the ability to type from draft copy, review and edit reports, and correspondence, using appropriate grammar, spelling, and punctuation
    • Basic arithmetic skills necessary to make calculations, balance and reconcile figures, and make changes accurately
    • Must have the ability to work diplomatically with all levels of the organization and demonstrate excellent customer service, verbal and written commination skills

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

     

    • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and push up to 50 pounds (on wheels)
    • Must be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in-person, and speak clearly in order to communicate information to patients and staff
    • Must have high manual dexterity
    • Must be able to sit for long periods of time at workstation
    • Must be able to reach above the shoulder level to work, must be able to bend, squat and sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, twist/turn
